Choose from over 1,200 sporting venues, home to everything from PGA tournaments to Olympic Trials. Before and after the game, your guests will experience world-class museums, presidential homes and more.

  • Aurora Area Convention & Visitors Bureau
    Aurora is the state’s second-largest city, located 37 miles west of Chicago along I-88. Our area has great experience hosting championship sporting events. Aurora was a three-year host of the Kellogg-Keebler Classic, and was the site of the National Baseball Association Youth World Series. Sugar Grove, just west of Aurora, hosted the prestigious LPGA Solheim Cup in 2009. Whatever the size, this sports-friendly area has the venue to handle the event.
  • Alton Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau
    Alton has played a host to national tournaments, including the 2007 ASA Co-Ed Class A and the American Legion Tournament of Champions in 2001, 2002 & 2003. The nearby Mississippi River was the location for the 2004 Illinois Bass Federation Regional Tournament and the 2005 Cabela’s King Kat Tournament. Annually, Alton hosts numerous ASA adult state softball tournaments and the Riverbend Futbol Tournament. Venues in the region have also been used for Prairie Stat Game events. The Alton CVB can assist with event venues, securing guest rooms, banquet space and planning activities to keep your group busy.
  • Abraham Lincoln Tourism Bureau of Logan County
    From racing modifieds and sprints to professional Railsplitting contests, you’ll find sports in our communities take on a top priority. The Lincoln/Logan County Sports Commission (www.lincolnlogansports.com) is your gateway to bringing your sporting events to our venues. Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, IL offers a wide range of competitive events, and Lincoln Park District and Atlanta, IL offer softball fields for tournaments. High School and College athletics shine in our communities as well. Plenty of great venues available for your next tournament!
  • Carbondale Convention & Tourism Bureau
    The Carbondale Convention & Tourism Bureau’s Sports Commission is designed to streamline the process sports event planners go through in selecting a host community and venue for their event. If you contact the Carbondale Convention & Visitors Bureau, staff will provide the necessary liason to event facility managers and will help you access appropriate lodging. The Bureau has a list of services which can be provided. Bureau staff may be able to assist you in finding sponsors or underwriting for portions of your event costs.
